Nancy Williams

Health Industry Council

Nancy is the President of The Health Industry Council, a non-profit membership organization representing the twelve county Dallas–Fort Worth Region.  She has been with the Council since 1992 when she accepted the position for Director of Membership and Activities.  She was promoted to president in 1996.

As president of the Council, Nancy is currently involved in numerous projects that deal with the health industry locally, state-wide, nationally, and internationally; including a Community Health and Wellness Project, Champions in Health workplace wellness initiative, an annual health & technology forum, bi-monthly design & construction programs, as well as spending a great deal of her time collaborating with industry leaders, other organizations and community projects.

Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for:

  • Interlink
  • North Texas Commission
  • Tech Fort Worth
  • World Health Forum

She also serves on numerous advisory boards or committees for health industry businesses and organizations in the Metroplex including:

  • Champions in Health
  • Health Enterprise Research Center (HERC)
  • UTA School of Nursing
  • D/FW Hospital Council Workforce Board
  • Pulse Magazine
  • BioDFW
  • Medical Device Action Alliance

Prior to her role in healthcare, Nancy has worked for Chambers of Commerce, in residential home construction & real estate, and for Macomb County, Michigan Department of Social Services as a volunteer in well-child clinics and geriatric support.  While living in Michigan, she started Turning Point, a domestic violence facility and program.

Nancy has a B.A. degree in Education and Music.
