Biographical Sketch
Before joining the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Dr. McClain led the Advanced Technologies group at the Nalco Company in Sugar Land, Texas. While at Nalco, he worked closely with scientists, marketers, intellectual property attorneys, and manufacturing partners to bring promising new discoveries forward into commercial development.
Education
Dr. McClain earned his BS in chemistry at Abilene Christian University and doctorate in chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Patents
Dr. McClain is an inventor of eight patented industrial technologies and has other patents pending.
