Travis E. Baugh is president and chief operating officer of Healthpoint, Ltd., a Ft. Worth Texas based specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to bringing innovative technologies for the prevention and treatment of diseased and traumatized skin and related soft tissue to the wound care market. In addition to assuming a full time role Healthpoint in 2008, he has been a member of DFB Pharmaceuticals (Healthpoint’s parent company) board of directors since 2004. Prior to joining Healthpoint, Mr. Baugh was CEO of MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc., a medical device company that developed the DeBakey VAD®, a miniaturized heart assist device, in collaboration with NASA and Dr. Michael DeBakey’s team at the Baylor College of Medicine. In the company’s early stages, Mr. Baugh raised venture capital and bank financing and led MicroMed’s process of becoming a public company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Baugh was involved in the oil and gas industry, serving as chief financial officer for Grasso Corporation, a publicly traded oil service company, as Executive Vice President for Chickasaw Distributors, a private oilfield tubular company, and as a senior accountant for a predecessor of the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
