Brent Sorrells

Director of Programs

Brent Sorrells joined TECH Fort Worth in July 2006 after working with the University of North Texas Health Science Center’s Technology Transfer & Commercialization Department.  As the operations manager for TECH Fort Worth, Brent is responsible for the incubator’s facilities, programs, client services, and internal operations.

In 2007 Brent was one of the first individuals in Texas to become a Certified Incubator Manager by the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA).  In 2008 he was nominated as one of Fort Worth’s “Forty Under Forty”.

Brent has been an evaluator for the North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization.  He is currently on the board of TeXchange and sits on the advisory board for the Texas Coalition for Capital.  He works closely with other regional organizations such as the North Texas RCIC, BioDFW, The Dallas Regional Chamber, and Entrepreneurs for North Texas who are also focused on further developing and diversifying the technology industries in North Texas.

Prior to working in technology transfer and commercialization, Brent has been in consumer banking, retail, and service industries.  He received a BS in Biology as well as an MBA with a focus in Strategic Management from the University of North Texas.
